Barbara Anne Bauer is the founder the New Myth Institute, bringing together her experience as a writer and editor for audiovisual, print, and online media, her background in continuing education, specifically screenplay seminars, and her explorations in myth, in semiotics, as well as in ritual magic. The somatic part of the curriculum is based on her years as an Argentine Tango Instructor and community builder.

 

At the confluence of these disciplines, she recognized that positive change towards a sustainable future for all must start with collective re-imagining of myth and story structure.

 

At New Myth Institute, we take responsibility for our western part of the worldwide story fabric, which in our particular case has industrialized certain ideologies which are not only out of date, but also destructive and unsustainable.

 

This realization sets our objectives apart from mere entertainment, as we seize this opportunity to rejuvenate our tales, let go of burdensome expectations, and rebuild our communities as part of the international dance of exploration and respect.
